Helo, Yr Wyddfa!
What’s the Welsh for Boing Boing?
The Albion Foundation and a whole host of supporters - including Proud Baggies member Vicky Haddock - made their way to Eryri National Park in Wales today to summit Yr Wyddfa (formerly Mount Snowdon) in the name of charity; fundraising to help the Foundation continue its good work around West Bromwich and Sandwell.
The adventure saw a guide lead attendees up the highest mountain in Wales via the Llanberis Path; one of the longer but steadier routes to the summit - a heady 3,560 feet above sea level. The nine-mile round trek offered a classic mix of British summertime weather, but was well worth it for the scenic views awaiting those who reached the top.
Speaking about her experience, Vicky said: “What a day, and what an incredible experience it was! From stunning views to brilliant company, it couldn’t have been a better day. Huge thanks to everyone who supported, donated, or joined us on the mountain, every step made a difference for such an amazing cause. I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!”

The Albion Foundation has raised a total of £3,489 as a result of donations towards those who participated in the hike, but you can give them support via https://albionfoundation.enthuse.com/cf/snowdon-challenge should you wish to make a late donation.
