Our Origins

Proud Baggies, in collaboration with West Bromwich Albion, Sandwell Council, and The Albion Foundation, is an initiative dedicated to promoting inclusivity and diversity within football and sport as a whole.

This ground-breaking collaboration marks a significant milestone in fostering a welcoming platform for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to engage in competitive football and cultivate a supportive community.

Our Future

Our initial aim was for participation in tournaments and to take part in friendly games with fellow LGBTQ+ supporters groups. In our first year we've achieved this, but longer term the next big ambition is to secure a league position - to help further the cause of inclusivity within football.

We hope to continue our partnerships with the Club and the Foundation, who have been unwavering in their support for Proud Baggies and PBFC.
