Proud Baggies’ member Anne Wise has published a brand-new children's book called Girls Can Play Too.

Anne, who played for Holly Lane / Sandwell Strollers (later West Bromwich Albion Women) from 1987 to 1992, writes of a girl’s dream to play football in the 1980s.

Speaking about the book’s launch, Anne said: “The book is about how in the 80’s there were no school football teams, nor any grassroot accessibility for girls to play. Dreams got shattered, but now girls can have a career, and I wanted to show the heartache of the past and the progress we’ve made.”
