New balls, please
Proud Baggies FC would like to say a HUGE thank you to West Bromwich Albion Football Club for donating their 2026 EFL Rainbow Balls to the side.
The EFL Rainbow Ball is a special edition PUMA Orbita match ball used across all 72 English Football League clubs to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and promote inclusion. Featuring rainbow and progress colors, it acts as a symbol against homophobia, used during February matchdays to champion equality in football.
This season goals scored with the EFL PUMA Rainbow Ball hit an all-time high that sees PUMA donating a record £24,900 to Football v Homophobia (FvH). This figure is more than double last season’s total and marks the most successful year of the initiative to date.
The squad were really excited to train with them for the first time on Monday and resulted in our own thrilling 4-3 training match goal-fest.
We have two rainbow balls signed by the men’s first team to give away too - one will be auctioned soon to the highest bidder and the other can be won via our online raffle next month! More soon…
