GFSN Summer Tournament

Proud Baggies FC were in action again this weekend, representing the supporters’ group at the GFSN Summer Tournament - this year hosted by Village Manchester FC.

The event saw two days and three nights of football and socialising to celebrate the many sides across the UK who participate in the GFSN’s leagues and tournaments, and while it wasn’t Proud Baggies’ day on the pitch on Saturday, there’s still plenty to be proud of for the debut season as a whole.

PBFC entered two sides into the competition this year, opting for a gender split between male-presenting and female-presenting players to showcase the strong level of inclusivity the organisation has - arguably the best female representation across the GFSN.

Despite a difficult contest for both teams in either side of the round robin draw, the players still showed up afterwards to mingle with opponents and friends alike and celebrate both football and queer existence.
