It’s hard to believe they’ve only been going for 2 years as they’re such an integral part of people’s weeks now.

It was an amazing feeling! A moment that will stay with me forever. I am honoured to be a part of the history for this amazing club.
I feel like our whole team needed that goal. As it was one of our first competitive games and we all worked hard to enjoy that moment, it was a massive relief for everyone involved in the club as we worked for months to improve our skills and become one team!
There is still a long way ahead of us like playing regular games and joining a competitive league. Recently Liv Rabjohn has joined our coaching staff and it’s an amazing opportunity for all of us to become a better team and to develop LGBT+ inclusive football across the West Midlands.

I think it is the atmosphere and safe space that we all worked hard to create.
A safe space where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves without fear and judgement. We are a team with people of different ages, backgrounds and somehow we managed to create a space where everyone belongs and feels important.

My advice is to be yourself. Don’t be afraid to open up in front of others. I have always struggled to fit in and be comfortable with my sexuality due to my past experiences but I feel safe with this team!!

It’s a massive step forward to improve women’s football! All the Women in WBA are inspirations to me. Most of them have jobs besides football! It’s crazy to think about that as I feel so tired after my job and they still work hard after hours to improve the football and to represent this club!
What you see today is a group of women who are truly passionate about this game! And all of you here today are the reason for the women’s game’s growth so I would like you thank you all for coming today!
