A Hat Trick of Nominations!

Proud Baggies made it three in a row this month when they were shortlisted again for the Football v Homophobia Awards in the Best Fab Group category.

Fellow supporter groups Proud Lilywhites and Foxes Pride make up the shortlist with the winner set to be announced at an online ceremony on February 25th.

Speaking to the WBA website, founder Piero Zizzi said: “We’re delighted and proud to be shortlisted for the third consecutive year,” said Piero Zizzi, founder and chair of Proud Baggies.

“It’s testament to the work that goes on all year round as we, as a club, look to lead the way on inclusion and diversity and continue to break down barriers. 

“We couldn’t do the work we do without the support of the club, our members, the Foundation and the wider Albion family, so a huge thank you to every one of you that has played your part - your allyship doesn’t go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.

“There’s still lots of work to be done and we have exciting plans in place in the near future as we continue to make West Bromwich Albion a safe, inclusive and welcoming place for all.”
