2025 Fans for Diversity Award Winners!

Proud Baggies are the winners of this year’s Football Supporters’ Association ‘Fans for Diversity’ award!

Founder Piero Zizzi, alongside vice-chair Sarah Kerton and former general secretary Neil Basterfield, attended the FSA awards at Nobu London in Old Park Lane on Monday where Proud Baggies were revealed as this year’s winners of the prestigious award - presented to them by BBC journalist and presenter Victoria Derbyshire.

Collecting the award, Piero told the audience that regardless of who the winners are, all those nominated should be celebrated and recognised for the work they do to across the UK to make their clubs more inclusive and welcoming, especially at a time when parts of society are trying to divide us.

Speaking to the Proud Baggies website after the win, Sarah added: “We want to thank everyone at West Bromwich Albion, the Albion Women’s team, and the Albion Foundation for their continued support, but most importantly we want to thank our members. You are the community who Proud Baggies was created to serve and whom we’re very proud to represent. It’s your involvement, your engagement, and your compassion that make Proud Baggies the great group it is.”

West Bromwich Albion staff were in attendance at the awards also, and the club posted on social media shortly afterwards to congratulate Proud Baggies for the work we all do. Well done, Proud Baggies!
